History
The first division soccer in Albania was founded in 1930. Like many countries, however, a first division (Super League) was founded and the First Division is now the second level in Albanian football. This became the case in 1998. The league has been dominated by clubs from Albania, the capital, Tirana, with only fourteen tracks to go elsewhere in the country. Nine of the fourteen songs was to Vllaznia Shkoder.
Competition Format
There are 12 clubs in the league. Season (August to May) each club plays the others twice (a double round Robin system), once in their stadium and once at their opponents, for a total of 24 games. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a tie. No points for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points and head-to-head record, then goal difference and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points crowned champions. If points are equal, one-on recording head and the goal difference and then determine the winner. The last two teams are referred to the Division of Albania first and the two best teams in the Division of Albania first, with the winner of the play-offs involving the third and fourth Albanian first division clubs are promoted in their place.
